Windows 7 Audio Plays Through Both Headphones and Speakers

Hello, First, I haven't been to Neo in ages to please let me know if I'm in the right or wrong place.Second, this started happening spontaneously a couple days ago. No new programs installed, no new audio equipment, no idea how it happened. Suddenly my laptop computer is playing audio through both the inbuilt speakers and the earbuds when the earbuds are plugged in, instead of turning off the external speakers like it's supposed to. The earbuds are brand new, about a week old, and worked exactly as they should for several days before this started happening. I've tried updating the audio device's drivers (there was an update, but it didn't fix this). I've also tried uninstalling the audio device, rebooting, and let it reinstall automatically from scratch. One result I got online said that this should result in a Windows default audio device installing, but mine keeps installing the original Realtek. So, I need one of two things: I need to either figure out this dual audio issue and resolve it, or else I need to know if there's a way I can turn off my laptop's inbuilt speakers, the physical device. They're garbage and I'll never use them. Both the speakers and the earbud port are under a single device in Sound Manager, and I only see the one device (Realtek High Definition Audio) in Device Manager, so I can't disable the speakers and only the speakers there. PC: ASUS R704A laptop, no custom partsOS: Windows 7Source: All audio output, it's not just one program. Media Player, system sounds, everything. Thanks ! I didn't find the right solution from the internet. References:http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/62/t4windows-7-audio-plays-through-both-...[url=https://blog.advids.co/20-creative-motion-graphics-launch-and-intro-vide...
