We are geocachers just like you. The idea of forming a group to promote getting together and adding to the caching experience has been bounced around for years in the Vancouver area. There is one simple goal: To get the geocachers of the Vancouver area to be more social.
We put on at least six events around the region during the year. We also will help and support any geocacher who wishes to host their own event.
We are always looking for anyone wanting to help arrange, host or organize events. We will also help out and support anyone wanting to host their own event.
About the MVG
Metro Vancouver Geocachers was created by Hwyguy and Catapult Jeff to help local geocachers get connected.
Since June 2012 we have held 18 events and partnered with the BCGA for 3 others.
We know that it is awesome to be able to put a face to the name in the logbook. By holding events we hope that geocachers will build friendships and be part of the local geocaching community. We believed that if we can have a good local community of geocachers, we will be able to encourage, teach and help new geocachers and each other.
We are always looking for help in promoting the MVG and holding events.
